The genre of Music has been seeing remarkable changes in the recent days, thanks to the exposure to the other parts of the world  as well the zeal to innovate. Music director Kay of ‘Kallapadam’  has been contemplating a particular idea for quite some time. The idea of a song inside a song was discussed with some but it was Director Vadivel and producer Anand Ponniraivan of  Iraivan films who had pounced upon this idea instantly and the song was recorded.

Kay with a sense of pride says ‘ There are two songs with in one song , both of different genres. This film is based on the life of Cinema and in one particular situation a Koothu Pattarai song was recorded and the script demanded a modern song’s incorporation with in that. We were all in one single voice ‘Yes’ and the song was recorded in no time. A team of Koothu pattarai vocalists from Krishnagiri and certain modern musicians spear headed by Guitarist Vikram were spontaneous enough to work in tandem. I hope the audience too love this concept !!!
