Karthi’s Christmas and Suriya’s Republic Day?

Actor Suriya has teamed up with Selvaraghavan for his upcoming film ‘Nandha Gopala Kumaran’, which is a political drama. The film’s shooting is wrapped up with nearly 40% and it was initially said that the movie will be hitting screens for the festive occasion of Diwali. Nevertheless, it is said that the momentum of shooting is progressing at slower rate than envisaged. So this has given a hint that the film’s release might be either pushed to Christmas 2018 or Republic Day 2019. Pongal might not be a right option as Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam has already blocked the date. On the other hand, Karthi is shooting for his upcoming film ‘Dev’ produced by Prince Pictures S Lakshman and is directed by Rajat Ravishankar, my response is that even this film is being planned for Christmas holidays. Let us wait and watch how these movies find appropriate dates.
