April 2 happens to be a significant day in the successful career of Karthi. Dating five years back on the line to 2010, the actor claimed a remarkable success with romantic-thriller Paiyaa, directed by Lingusamy. While his first couple of films delineated him as a rugged rustic chap (Paruthiveeran and Aayirathil Oruvan), this one translated him completely unique on screens as a romantic boy.

Apparently, the makers of his upcoming film Komban are planning to release the film on the same date (April 2, 2015). Set in the rural backdrops of Madurai, the film stars Karthi and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles with Raj Kiran, Kovai Sarala, Karunaas and many others in prominent characterisations. The film is directed by ‘Kuttipuli’ fame Muthaiah and is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. This is the third time GV Prakash is teaming up with Karthi aftermath the great success of Aayirathil Oruvan and Saguni. The official announcement on music launch will be made shortly.
