Karthi 17 title is not yet finalized?

Actor Karthi had a fantabulous phase last year, where he was a part of couple of promising movies ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ followed by Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. While his next film ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ directed by Pandiraj and produced by actor Suriya is gearing up for June release, he is now shooting for Karthi 17. The film is directed by Rajath Ravishankar, a former associate of director Kannan. Touted to be an action adventure based comedy thriller, the film’s shoot is happening on full swing. It was recently mentioned that the film could be titled as ‘Dev’. Since the title happens to be the name of Suriya’s son, the things got much more sensational. But then, it is learnt through the close sources that ‘DEV’ happens to be one among the three titles that are on the final list. It is not yet confirmed whether DEV would be retained or a new title announcement will be made.

Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead role in this film, which has Karthik, Ramya Krishnan and many more prominent actors.

Harris Jayaraj is composing music and Velraj is handling cinematography for this film, which is produced by S Lakshman of Prince Pictures.
