Karoline Kamakshi screening spangled with excitements and entertainment

The year 2019 has been a dawn of new era through the emergence of OTT platforms. With an array of web series getting its hook upon the viewers, who have been so far drenched in the downpour of Netflix and Prime Video, what has made Zee 5 extremely an exception is its ability to grasp what the regional audiences are in need off. Apparently, it has now delivered a well crafted tale of humour and thriller through ‘Karoline Kamakshi’, which embarks on a new journey for ace actress Meena in the world of OTT, which will be streamed from December 5.

The special screening of this web series happened few minutes ago in Chennai with the cast and crew present for the occasion.

Actress Meena said, “This is completely a new journey for all of us in the team and I would claim this to be a novel experiment. When I was approached for Karoline Kamakshi, I was quite doubtful and negligent as I couldn’t spot the difference between a web series and TV mega serial. However, director Vivek assured me that it will be a special experience for her and yes, he has delivered what he promised me. There have been lots of discussions among us as a team and I have given some inputs and suggestions involving my character as well. Hopefully, I believe that I have done justice to my role. Working with YG Mahendran sir has been a much bigger experience. What’s more intriguing is to work with bunch of newcomers in this new platform, which has been a good learning experience for me personally. I take this opportunity to thank Mammootty sir for launching the trailer of Karoline Kamakshi.”

Director Vivek said, “As soon as I completed writing the script of Karoline Kamakshi, I couldn’t envisage on anyone other than Meena madam. But approaching her was a difficult task as she wouldn’t give a nod at ease for a project. However, I was really happy that she was honest with her opinions, which helped me shape this project to the best. Giorgia is completely a perfectionist, who has been curious to learn lots of new things during the process. I would say that Y.G. Mahendran sir happens to be the biggest asset to our web series.”

Actress Giorgia said, “I am totally spellbound over the way, the team has worked on this project. For me, it has been a greater experience and I feel elated to have my acting career start with Karoline Kamakshi. It’s a wonderful experience overall.”

Actor Y.G. Mahendran said, “I am already acting in another web series that is made by my son. I must admit that director Vivek has got an exceptional nuance of being an excellent and intelligent filmmaker. The way he has understood and perceived the real paradigm of OTT platform and web series and carefully crafting the script needs special mention. I have been acting with Meena right from her childhood days and I myself is surprised to see the new avatar of Meena through Karoline Kamakshi. I am sure viewers will enjoy watching the series and I can give a hint that there will be a second season too.”
