There were reports over the last few days that the theatrical rights of Kamal Haasan’s Thoongaavanam will be handed over to Thirupathi Brothers to compensate for the smack-down Uttama Villain faced at the box office.

However, reliable reports suggest that it is just a rumor and Kamal Haasan is keen to distribute Thoongaavanam under his own banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

The film will be wrapped in another one week and the team will start the post production work soon. Featuring Trisha, Prakash Raj, Kishore and Yugi Sethu in important roles, Thoongaavanam has Asha Shareth of Papanasam fame as Kamal Haasan’s wife.
