Raja Manthiri is a tale of such poingnance set against the village backdrops, where the characters in the film look more like the ones from your families and neighbourhood. Touted to be a decorous family entertainer laced with comedy and emotions, Raja Manthiri is directed by Usha Krishnan, a former associate of Suseenthiran, who had worked in films like Pandiya Naadu and Jeeva.
Exhibiting an immense streak of exceptional roles in movies like Madras, Urumeen and Kabali in his kitty Kalai plays the role of the protagonist in ‘Raja Manthiri’. and Kaali Venkat of (Thegidi, Mundasupatti, Maari, Irudhi Suttru, Miruthan and Kodi fame) plays his brother ,Bala Saravanan(darling and thirudan police) is all set to tickle the rib bones of the audience.The film has an enviable talents like Nadodigal Gopal, Saravana Sakthi, Kayal Perara, Super Good Subramani, Vaishali, Meenachi, Rindhu Ravi, Raja Pandi and Anandhi too.
Actress Shalin who had turned spotlights in God’s own country with her performance as child artist in more than 20 films makes her debut in female lead through this movie. Justin Prabhakaran enlivened his maiden debut album ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’, an entertainer in the rural backdrops. With ‘Raja Manthiri’ yet another film based on nativity, the young musician has composed commendable tracks.
Cinematographer P.G. Muthaiah, the man behind ravishing visuals in many films has cranked the camera and has co-produced this film as well. V. Mathiyalagan and R Ramya has produced this ‘Raja Manthiri’ under the banner of Etcetera Entertainment and Auraa Cinemas is releasing it. The post-production works of this film has been already wrapped up and the official announcements pertaining to release date would be made shortly.
