Karthik Subbaraj has revealed that Jigarthanda is all set to hit the screens on July 25 and it will sure be a blockbuster hit. Its his second film after the trendsetting Pizza. The film starring Siddarth and Lakshmi Menon in central roles and Simha in an important character is touted as a musical gangster flick set in Madurai. Music has been composed by Santosh Narayanan and the songs are very popular.

Jigarthanda was censored couple of months back, and had got a UA certificate. The producer Five Star Kathiresan wanted the movie to be re-edited and re-submitted for U certificate, to get entertainment tax waiver. But the director stood his ground and the movie is now finally releasing on July 25th with U/A certificate.
