It’s official – Vijay’s Varisu Vs Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu to release on same festival day

Last time, we saw Ajith Kumar and Vijay movies releasing together was Jilla and Veeram for the festive occasion of Pongal 2014. Now the actors are yet again clashing with their upcoming movies. Yeah! It’s officially confirmed by Tirupur Subramaniam, Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association that both Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu will be hitting screens on the same occasion of Pongal 2023.

While Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu will have the theatrical release on January 12, 2023, Vijay’s Varisu will be out on January 13, 2023. Following the grand success of Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan, the expectations are bigger that both these movies will offer whopping profit for the producers and trade circles.
