Is this reason for Hip Hop Aadhi’s Anbarivu skipping the theatrical release?

Music director-turned-actor Hip Hop Aadhi embarked on his directorial venture with the film ‘Meesaya Murukku’ following which he attempted the same with his recent outing ‘Sivakumarin Sabadham’. Although the film is getting good and positive reviews through its recent OTT release, it didn’t match up to the expectations with the theatrical release.

The earnest reason that many critics zeroed in the HHA fans expected a fun-filled youthful entertainer, but what they got instead was a heart-warming family show, which didn’t go well with them. Apparently, the family audiences are now celebrating the film on Disney plus Hotstar.

Sources state that this could have been the reason for the Sathya Jyothi Films opted the direct premiere of ANBARIVU on the same platform since this film again belongs to the family genre. So, it’s almost striking a favorable result for the production house.
