How Megha got selected for Bala’s Varma?
Right from the day, the official announcement was made regarding ‘Varma’; the expectations have been sky-rocketed. This is purely because of the sensational blockbuster hit of its original version ‘Arjun Reddy’ in Telugu. The original version featured Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. While Vikram’s Dhruv is making his debut in Tamil cinema as hero through this movie, it was highly inquisitive to know who would be essaying the female lead role. Finally, after long pursuit, director Bala has zeroed in Bengali actress Megha. She happens to be a Bengali actress, who shot to fame for her Bengali movie ‘Amar Prem’ and Telugu movie ‘Ooranthaa Anukuntunnaru’. Being a great Kathak dancer, the actress’ eye expressions became the major attraction for Bala, who instantly got her into the project.
