How many films actually belong to ‘Hero’ Vijay Sethupathi’ in 2019?

Vijay Sethupathi fans were literally exhilarated and pretty much enjoyed 2018 as the actor had lots of releases. It all started with Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Junga, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, 96 and Seethakaathi. Of course, the latter release didn’t satisfy the audiences as they were disappointed as he appeared not more than 30 minutes in the film. Even when they expected that he would have a substantial role in Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’, they were yet again dashed down with their hopes as his role was sketched with minimal prominence. So what about 2019, which has lots of lineups for him? It is noteworthy that there is an array of movies over here, but then how many of them really belong to Vijay Sethupathi.

Super Deluxe is a multi-starrer film, where Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the role of a transgender. However, it’s a multi-starrer movie that has Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Mysskin and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles as well. The film is set against the premise of parallel stories that gets conjoined after a certain point of time. on the other hand, his other regional movies – Macroni Mathayi (Malayalam) with Jayaram in lead role and Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy (Telugu) with Chiranjeevi in lead role will have only few portions for him. In fact, the directors of these movies have involved him in the star-cast merely for the sake of capturing the Tamil audiences. Nonetheless, there are other movies that will unleash the complete potentials of Vijay Sethupathi which includes Sindhubad directed by Arun Kumar, Kadaisi Vivasaayi, Maamanithan with Seenu Ramasamy and few more. Although the long pending release ‘Idam Porul Yeval’ has been reported of hitting screens shortly, there hasn’t been any official word about it till now.
