Heralded for his exceptionally brilliant performance in ‘Madras’, Karthi settles down with a rural backdrop in ‘Komban’, which is close on the heels of completion. With the project turning to be a quickie, the makers had finest plans to get it released for Pongal, but couldn’t make up due to pending works. With the final DI mixing and background score taking the final leg, the plans are onto release the music by mid of March. Producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja had already confirmed that Komban will be hitting screens on April 2 and there seems to be no change in schedule plans in spite of two big releases – Kamal Haasan’s Uthama Villain and Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Nanbenda hitting screens on the same day.
Komban is directed by Kuttipuli fame Muthaiah and is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films with Lakshmi Menon playing Karthi’s father. Raj Kiran, Kovai Sarala, Thambi Ramaiah, Super Subbarayan are others in the star-cast. It’s been a long time after Aadukalam that GV Prakash hadn’t scored music for a rural based script and he assures that Komban would be a special treat to all his fans.
