“For Ajith sir it was Vaali, for Jayam Ravi it’s Bhoomi” – Director Lakshman

Director Lakshman seems to be bagged with some sort of happy and bittersweet moment as he isn’t really gratified releasing the movie ‘Bhoomi’ on OTT platform. However, he does feel that sometimes, it’s best to get adapted to the current situations. Director Lakshman has opened up stating that Jayam Ravi, who is playing the lead role has been vividly influenced by the character of Raja Raja Chozhan he is performing in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. The director adds that the influence can be deeply felt in many scenes and he is thankful to Mani Ratnam for indirectly helping the Bhoomi get more intensity through the performance of Jayam Ravi. In simple words, he says, “Jayam Ravi is going to have a bigger transformation in his career just like how Ajith sir had it with Vaali.”

Bhoomi starring Jayam Ravi and Nidhi Agerwal in lead roles is all set for a direct OTT release for January 14, 2021 for the festive occasion of Pongal.
