Wondering what is Karthi and Kadhal Sandhya is doing together here and what’s the relevance with Gitanjali Selvaraghavan’s maiden debut ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’. The film was initially to be directed by Selvaraghavan before he took off with ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’. While ‘Paruthiveeran’ had turned to be one of the greatest magnum opuses of Karthi during the initial stage of his career, he started off with the photo shoot of this film with Karthi and Kadhal Sandhya. It was a trendy picture, where Karthi was completely sporting a different look from what he had been painted in Paruthiveeran.

However, due to some reasons, the project didn’t happen and off the late, Dhanush and Andrea Jeremiah were expected to play the lead roles in this film. With so many changes constantly had happened, Selvaraghavan has now shifted the title to his wife Gitanjali. Editor Kola Bhaskar’s son Balakrishnan makes his debut in lead role while Wasima from Bollywood plays the female lead with the star-cast comprising of some prominent actors like Azhagam Perumal, Kalyani Natarajan and Parvathy Nair in important characters. Amrit (Music), Sridhar (Cinematography), Kalyan (Choreography), Kola Bhaskar (Editing), Selvaraghavan (Story, Screenplay and Dialogues) form the lofty technical crew of this film.
