Shedding the larger than life role, Karthi struck the gold for his flawless and naturalistic performance in ‘Madras’. With the film winning laurels and high accolades in various film festivals and award ceremonies, his new avatar as rugged village man in ‘Komban’ had taken his fans by storming surprise. In fact, it’s been a long time ever since his magnum opus debut ‘Paruthiveeran’; he had donned a village based character.
The crew consisting of Karthi, Raj Kiran and few others is busy wrapping up the principal photography today in the backdrops of Thiruvallur. With both the shooting and post-production works simultaneously processed, the audio launch will happen on March 5. Post-Aadukalam, Komban becomes the next album from GV Prakash to be completely based on folk genre. Lakshmi Menon plays the role of Karthi’s spouse and Raj Kiran as her father. Komban, directed by Kuttipuli fame Muthaiah is scheduled for worldwide release on March 27.
