Fahadh Faasil reveals about a dog’s heart-touching deed that inspired Malayankunju

Actor Fahadh Faasil is all super-excited about his upcoming movie ‘Malayankunju’ scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on this Friday (July 22, 2022). Being the producer of this movie, Fahadh had initially planned to release the movie directly on OTT. However, after feeling that the technical aspects have outsmarted his belief, he decided to go with the theatrical release. So what actually inspired him to materialize this movie?

He says, “Two disasters that happened in Kerala – Plane crash at Karipoor and landslide at Pettimudi. The latter had some emotional moments, where a dog followed the police in search of its family and stayed with the cops throughout the search operation. Finally, the cops took the dog with them. This was the point of inspiration for Malayankunju. My father is the producer of this movie. If I was given an option, I would have released this movie’s first half on OTT and second half in the theaters. The movie will start on an ordinary note, and then get intense with the second half.”
