October 4 has almost become the Valentine Day for many out herein Tamil Nadu as the most ravishing bittersweet love story ‘96’ was released. While the audiences were precisely expecting both Ram and Jaanu reuniting at end, it became a major disappointment for many as the lovers didn’t have a happy ending.

However, the close sources mention that director Prem had initially written a positive ending, where Jaanu gets married to Ram at end. It was the major reason behind having the song ‘Anthaathi’ that has positive notes on LOVE, which would come by the final credits.

Nevertheless, the changes were made on the final draft to have a bittersweet ending so that the ending has more impact.
