“Everyone in Kanaa team treated it as their own project” – Arunraja Kamaraj

Lyricist-actor turned filmmaker Arunraja Kamaraj is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Kanaa’. The film’s songs and visual promos are already creating decent waves of expectations for the movie, which is produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan. The film features Aishwarya Rajesh as a cricketer in lead role, who wants to make it big into the Indian Women Cricket Team. While speaking about the film, Arunraja Kamaraj says, “Although, I am a debut filmmaker, what made me completely happy is that everyone in the Kanaa team treated it as their own project. There was a particular day, where we couldn’t go for the shoot due to poor lighting and everything was delayed. I was quite nervous, but went into caravan seeking apology to Sathyaraj sir for delay. Nevertheless, Sathyaraj sir was so humble in saying that he is paid for this too as well. This made me completely floored. Aishwarya Rajesh has exerted her heart and soul into the film, The way she committed herself to this film was really great. This is because, spin bowling isn’t an easy task, but she practiced intensely and gave a stupendous output.”
