Did STR back off due to Dhanush? The scenario was indeed involving the perpetual sensitivities for STR and Dhanush fans as they curiously awaited to see their matinee idols clash together in box office. While Dhanush-Keerthy Suresh starrer Thodari is tentatively scheduled to hit screens on September 16, it was learnt through some sources that STR and Gautham Vasudev Menon too wanted to have their film ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’ on the same date.

Nevertheless, there was something that reportedly stopped AYM crew to plan ahead and it was the racy screenplay of ‘Thodari’. It seems that the film’s narration travels in high momentum and in contrast, AYM will be a classic thriller where the momentum would be pretty lesser but with intense moments. It is worth mentioning that Gautham Vasudev Menon had already cited that he was vividly inspired with violence sequences from Francis Di Coppola’s The Godfather. So with both the films hitting screens on the same date, there would be some split up in audiences. So they are likely planning to release Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada on September 30 tentatively.
