Dhanush’s Vada Chennai praised as ‘Godfather of Tamil Cinema” at PYIFF
National award winning duo combo of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are coming together for this third time in Vada Chennai. The film’s premiere was held recently at Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival. The reviews from the film critics are flowing down with positive notes. One among them happened to have ennobled the film with extraordinary reviews. One of the verdicts read, “Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai in PYIFF are calling it the Godfather of Tamil Cinema. Also comparisons are being made to Japanese Master Director Takeshi Miike Cult Movies. Fabulously mounted action sequences, frenzied and maniac energy.”
Vada Chennai is a first chapter in the crime noir trilogy set against the backdrops of North Chennai. The film features Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Pawan, Kishore, Ameer and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles.
The film is scheduled for worldwide release on October 17 for the festive occasion of Aayutha Pooja.
