CV Kumar’s hope on cutting down piracies

Producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment holds special mention for perpetually churning out high profiled movies. In fact, he was the pioneer to introduce as many as short filmmakers into the mainstream of moviemaking. For the first time, he attempts something with the directorial venture through the film ‘Maayavan’, which has story and screenplay penned by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film features Telugu actors – Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles with Bhagavathi Perumal and Akshara Gowda playing important roles. The film has musical score by Ghibran and cinematography handled by Gopi Amarnath.

Speaking on the occasion of audio launch, CV Kumar said that he never thought that filmmaking would be so much difficult. Producing films is so much easier than helming a project. Getting on with the current scenario upon new executive members of Tamil Film Producers Council, CV Kumar said, “The team has already started working on the process and though it might not be a 100% deletion of piracy, we can expect 70% of piracies diminishing, thereby leading to bright future of Tamil cinema,” said CV Kumar.
