‘Vijay 59’, directed by Atlee, is one of the most anticipated movies in Tamil. The launch function of the film was held last month in Chennai had managed to grab the attention of the media and fans. Vijay 59 is said to be an action crime thriller and is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu’s V Creations. The cast also includes Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Amy Jackson, Prabhu, Radhika, Mahendran, Azhagam Perumal, K S Ravikumar, Motta Rajendra, Sunaina and Kaali Venkat. Music is composed by G V Prakash and cinematography is handled by George C Williams.

The film shooting has been planned to be shot in 140 days starts 1st July to December 2015. First schedule is over and team started its second schedule with Samantha joining the crew in Chennai for 25 days. Samantha plays a role of a college girl who lives independently whereas Vijay plays a cop role. Atlee is making sure the movie lives up to expectations in every aspect – be it the story, technical aspects, music or casting. He wants to ensure that everything is handled with perfection.
