Chennai Box Office – KKK and Draupathi opening weekend surprises traders

It’s quite a rare of its kind situation in Chennai box office as couple of releases with no bigger star-cast and technical team made a sweeping victory. They are none other than Dulquer Salmaan’s Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal and Richard’s Draupati. The Day 1 collection of KKK in Chennai Box Office was just 12.7 Lakhs.

The positive reviews and good word of mouth going viral on social media made an abrupt increase on Saturday (Rs. 31.6 Lakhs) and Sunday (Rs. 34.5 Lakhs). On the other hand, Draupati with a strong pre-release buzz on debate about the caste issues made a decent opening of Rs. 54 Lakhs for its opening weekend.
