Anirudh gears up for a new folk treat now

Music director Anirudh has been sharing a wonderful rapport with all the music directors in the industry. In fact, he happens to be only musician in the recent times to have crooned more songs for other musical composing. Moreover, his rendition for folks songs have always been tremendous, but this time, he has something special for all his fans. He recently for a folk number for Dhibu Ninan Thomas in ‘Kanaa’, which will have a new flavour…

Sharing the experience working with Anirudh, Dhibu Ninan Thomas says, “We have used a different treatment for this folk number, which will have strings and piano. Usually, these instruments are used for romantic melodies. But for the first time, we have tried something different along with the regular intriguing elements like Thavil and Nathaswaram. The song is about the male protagonist Darshan trying to woo his girlfriend (Aishwarya Rajesh), which is written by Arunraja Kamaraj.”

The film is based on a young girl’s dream of becoming a women cricketer, which is produced by Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Arunraja Kamaraj.
