Actor Karthi’s new record: Rs.150Cr Pre-Release Business 

Actor Karthi has now become one of the most bankable stars of South Indian cinema for his movies have achieved tremendous commercial success. The actor has delivered four blockbusters in less than 12 months that include Ponniyin Selvan 1, Viruman, Sardar, and Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actor is now currently working in Raju Murugan’s Japan, Nalan Kumarasamy’s tentatively titled ‘Vaa Vaathiyaar’ and Prem Kumar’s Karthi 27, produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. According to the trade reports, the digital and satellite rights of all these movies together have touched Rs.150Cr business. 

Actor Karthi is currently shooting for Nalan Kumarasamy’s movie, produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja. The other film tentatively titled ‘Karthi 27’ is written and directed by Prem Kumar of ’96’ fame. Govind Vasantha is composing the music and P.C. Sreeram is handling cinematography for this movie.
