‘AAA’ producer alleges STR after his consistent sign-ups

Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan with Simbu in the lead role produced by Michael Royappan released last year got succumbed to terrible results. Apparently, Michael Royappan had complained to the Tamil Film Producers Council that he incurred a loss of Rs. 20 Crores with the film ‘Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan’. He has opined on his self-advocacy saying, “Simbu gave call sheets for 60 days and reported for acting only on 27 days. We had to film several scenes with dupe actors. As the film got completed, Simbu suggested that the film is released in 2 parts. However, he did not act in the second part. As he did not cooperate, the film did not succeed when released. This has led to a loss of Rs. 20 Crores for me. Actor Simbu must compensate for this.”

While TFPC has been reviewing this issue, it was expected that an understanding would be reached between both the parties.

In this situation, there has been an announcement that Simbu is set to act in a movie directed by Sundar C, produced by Lyca Productions. Michael Royappan objected to this and has made a complaint again citing, “I need justice for the loss I incurred, which I completely bank my trust upon TFPC. Without this issue being resolved, actor Simbu must not be permitted to act in other movies. On hearing the information that Simbu is all set to act in a film directed by Sundar C and shooting is scheduled to commence in Georgia, I have resumed my complaint again. This shooting must not be permitted and Tamil Film Producer Council must get me the compensation.”
