Assassin’s creed, a popular action adventure game of 2007 with various versions and subplots developed by Ubisoft. Now the video game comes to big screen with the same theme from the game series. Lets see how far it stands in the line of movies emerging from games.
A war between the Assassins who fight for peace and the Templars who wants to rule the world whereas the Key to control mankind is in a device called Apple and the fight is to get that to create a revolution. What happened in the 15th century, where is that Apple device and what happened in the present day is Assassins Creed.
Flip between present day and the past is through a latest modern technology device which will take people to travel time and live the memories of their ancestors through DNA match.
Present day Michael Fassbender, travel to 15th century to know about the Apple and live in their memories of the world. Action sequences happen there are spectacular especially the roof top fight is tricky.
Theme and the fight sequences are exactly the same as in the video game and the ones who is familiar with the game can relate it easily. Even the eagle flies all the time is good while watching through 3D.
When he find out the place of Apple in the present day, there comes the final war which conclude the movie.
Time spent on the past is very less whereas the video game portions mostly happen on the past. Even the character development is not much detailed where you will not feel who they are and why they doing!! A decent adaptation of the video game and succeed halfway with the big star cast indeed.
