When Kollywood heroes begin their International chases
It’s something called TREND that keeps shifting its paradigms now and then. But appealingly we find it all more fascinating to the views of audiences. There were times, when the heroes were seen acting in female centric flicks followed by soft love stories. On unexpected turn of seasons, we even saw those becoming Goons and Mafias and all of sudden, most of them opened the doors of haunted palaces and entered homes that should have never been visited. They became psychopaths seeking revenge to get hold of their girls and sometimes to protect their parents. They became cops locking horns with criminals and now it’s all about the international chases and thrills that Kollywood is constantly witnessing.
Here are some instances that have proved of such scenarios out here in Kollywood….
Sabash Naidu
Cherry-picking his very own characterization of RAW agent from magnum opus Dasavatharam for his upcoming movie. Yes, this isn’t just a comedy caper, but will bring you the most speedy and racy cat and mouse game, where Balram Naidu would be seen hunting down the terrorists in USA.
Vishwaroopam 2
Of course, it’s yet another avatar from Kamal Haasan in this espionage thriller, where the first installment had him locking horns with the terrorist out there in USA and the complete drama in the second part would be happening throughout in India, where the final settlement of scores between the goodie and baddie would be unleashed.
Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan
Maybe, the first schedule of this film is reportedly a retro version of one among the three avatars. For now we have seen STR as ‘Madura Michael’ and it is expected that the next episode of this film would be shot with a new avatar of STR having the hunt across the country and abroad (Dubai) happening at violent rate. Whether he is someone to do with the vengeance or a heroic spy trying to curb down something isn’t properly revealed till now.
AK 57
This doesn’t need an introduction for the makers themselves have promoted the film with more embellishments that it is going to be an edge-seated espionage thriller completely shot across the foreign locales and only 30% shoot in Chennai. Ajith Kumar plays an Interpol officer embarking on a mission to curb down the baddies on action.
Iru Mugan :Â
Chiyaan Vikram plays a double act of one being Akilan, an Interpol officer and another one as LOVE, a voguish phenomenal baddie. The rest is something we need to watch it over the screens. Major portions of the film have been shot across Malaysia, Thailand, Kashmir and Bangkok with just few set works in Chennai.
Singam 3
The Third installment of Singam will bring ‘Durai Singam’ in a much ferocious style to hunt down the baddies and the story travels from Tamil Nadu to Malaysia following its surrounding locales too.
Kabali
The recent release ‘Kabali’, the most celebrated ‘Blockbuster of all times’ has turned to be a magnanimous film to be shot majorly in Malaysia. Though the film didn’t feature Rajnikanth as a cop or Interpol officer, he was seen as a Gangster fighting for the rights of Tamilians and putting an end to Gang 43 that is ruining the lives of Malaysians with narcotic drugs and violence.
Dhruva Natchathiram/Ondraaga
Gautham Vasudev Menon is yet to finalize the film’s title, but this one featuring almost all the reigning actors of South cinema will be shot completely in foreign countries. The film is loosely based on an adventure trip that encompasses characters from different star signs, which later turns into mishaps in unexpected manner. The film features Jayam Ravi, Prithviraj, Puneeth Rajkumar, Tamannaah, Sai Dharam Tej, Anushka Shetty and few more from the South industry.
