Exclusive – When Vijay told “I am waiting” to amateur young short filmmakers

Sometimes, we could be hearing some buzzes that Vijay is more like an introvert and loves to have his privacy, especially when in public. But he proved everyone recently with his kind and surprising gesture. It all happened before a week, where Vijay was there at AVM Studios to dub for ‘Bairavaa’ and was asked to come at a particular time. But on reaching there with his casual attires of T-shirt and shorts, he had come to know that he had come there one hour early to the told time. The dubbing studio had no one except the sound engineer.

What would you imagine that Vijay would have done for this moment? An angry man walking out of studios?

Never! He just got down from the car and took a casual walk across the studios – AVM pillaiyar temple, Garden, new building, etc.

Well, the upcoming amateur filmmakers working on some short film projects were really surprised at this simplicity of Vijay. He walked there even without much security except a bodyguard. When these youngsters rushed to him, he casually shook hands with them and spoke to them for a very long time… As the young chaps told them that they have a script work with him he just told them “I am waiting..”

Be it anywhere, Vijay making his public appearance, he would make sure that everyone is greeted equally. When he is departing from the preview theatres after watching a show, he would shake hands with everyone, including the lift operator and even a small boy standing outside the premises.

This has been making him the man of simple nature and congenial attitude keeping him adored forever with the title ‘Vijay Anna’.

The same thing applies to Vijay’s parents! If you casually happen to see Vijay’s parents anywhere in public or just as they would take their morning walks earlier at Loyola College premises, they would greet and treat you as their own son or daughter. You walk into their house to meet Vijay, you’ll find Shoba, his mother always talking to you gently and never ignore any visitors.
