From Background Dancer to Co-Star: Redin Kingsley Reflects on Working with Ajith Kumar After 28 Years

At the thanksgiving meet of Good Bad Ugly, actor Redin Kingsley shared a heartwarming moment from his journey in the film industry, recalling a full-circle experience that brought him back to where it all began — with Ajith Kumar.

Redin revealed that nearly three decades ago, he appeared as a background dancer in a song featuring Ajith Kumar. The song was from the film Aval Varuvaala, and it marked one of the earliest, if not the first, instances of him sharing a frame with the actor.

“I danced with Ajith Kumar sir 28 years ago in the song from Aval Varuvaala. Back then, I was just one of the background dancers. I never imagined that one day I would be acting alongside him,” said Redin.

He went on to express his joy at being part of Good Bad Ugly, where he finally got the opportunity to work with Ajith Kumar in a significant way. “After so many years, it feels incredibly special to finally share proper screen space with him. It’s a proud and emotional moment for me.”
