Mad Square Movie Review

A direct sequel to MAD (2023) and continues the fun at MVS Engineering College. This time, the film focuses on the lives of Damodhar (Narne Nithin), Manoj (Sangeeth Shobhan), and Ashok (Ram Nithin) as they navigate the chaos of college life. With new romances, college rivalries, and hilarious misunderstandings, the movie delivers another round of madcap comedy.

What primarily works with MAD 2 is the perfection in staging the hilarious situations. The film delivers multiple laugh-out-loud moments, especially in the first half. The humor is spontaneous, much like Jathi Ratnalu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, which instantly lets the audiences connect well with the film. The perfect runtime is yet another embellishment to the film as it doesn’t drag with unwanted subplots and songs. When it comes to performances, Sangeeth Shobhan shines once again with his comic timing, while Narne Nithin and Ram Nithin also deliver a neat and commendable performances. The others in the star-cast have done justice to their roles. On the flip side, while most of the hilarious sequences are staged well, some of them don’t synch well with the film. They look like purposefully forced in. A predictable storyline, might be yet another reason, but still, it doesn’t hamper the progression of script anywhere.

Well, if you’re landing upon comparing MAD , Jathi Ratnalu & MAD 2, you might vote for the JR, as most of the comedic moments in this film are much alike it.

However, if you’re looking for a stress-free entertainer, MAD 2 delivers with its energetic screenplay and lighthearted storytelling.

On the whole, MAD Square is a mindless good time pass comedy entertainer, which will tickle your funny bones in many places. Yes, few jokes might be your cup of coffee, but the presentation of the plot along with the performances of actors keeps us engrossed and it’s a tailor-made treat for the ones, who thoroughly enjoyed MAD 1 .
