Action Movie Review

Vishal’s latest outing ‘Action’ directed by Sundar C had created huge expectations for the visual trailers had lots of promising action sequences. Yes, it indeed prepared the audiences to experience a full stroke edge-seated action thriller high octane stunts. So how well does it prove to be fulfilling our expectations? Let us have a sneak look into the film’s analysis. 

Story:

Vishal plays an army general, who is honoured with Gallantry awards for his mind-boggling   achievements in terrorist operations. His father (Pazhaniappan) and elder brother (Ramki) are leading politicians and the latter’s wife (Chaaya Singh) has a sister (Aishwarya Lakshmi), who is fixed to marry Vishal. However, things go wrong, when Aishwarya is brutally murdered by terrorists and many lives including PM claimed with their bomb blast. Adding more gruesomeness is elder brother Ramki found hanging in his room. The mysterious incidents provoke Vishal to embark on a journey to trap the culprit behind these assassinations. 

Performance:

Vishal remains unbeatable when it comes to performing action sequences. Honestly, he is surely the South Indian Tom Cruise, who can go for any risks without giving a damn. Hats off to his special efforts and we would like to see him more in such genres. However, the rest of the star-cast is hugely disappointing. Well, everyone from Tamannaah, Aishwarya to Kabir, they have done their best performances, but what’s the use when their characterizations are crafted so much weakly. 

Story, Screenplay, dialogues and Direction:

A huge disappointment from Sundar C, who isn’t able to deliver a complete engrossment and it has been evident from the earlier times, where he attempted something different from his routine zone and failed. It’s obvious that one shouldn’t look up for logical issues in Sundar C movies, but that’s limited only to his ‘commercial’ genre. When you’re attempting something with action thrillers that involves geography, realistic issues and even technological factors, you cannot just like blabber on script papers as you wish. In this aspect, Action turns out to be a huge disappointment. 

Final Word:

Although, Vishal has given his best with his performances, Action turns out to be an almost 3 hours of amateur film, which doesn’t engage us anywhere for its storytelling, making or technical aspects.
