Sreenu Vaitla, born on September 24, 1972, in Kandulapalem, Andhra Pradesh, India, is a distinguished director in the Telugu film industry, celebrated for his contributions to the action-comedy genre. His directorial debut came in 1999 with the film “Nee Kosam,” which starred Ravi Teja and Maheswari and earned him the Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director. Vaitla’s second film, “Anandam” released in 2001, solidified his reputation as a talented director.

Over the years, he has directed a number of successful films such as “Dhee,” “Dubai Seenu,” “Ready,” “King,” “Dookudu,” and “Baadshah,” often collaborating with writers like Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. His work on “Dookudu” was particularly acclaimed, bringing him the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu, among other accolades.
