INSIDER – “If STR is known for his unpunctuality, then how it was perfect with Maniratnam and Sundar C”
Actor STR being yet again cornered had created an intense issue among everyone. Especially, it became much more emotional for some of his diehard fans, who just vented out their feelings through video messages as well. When approached one of the insiders, who didn’t want to get his name mentioned, we happened to just have a formal conversation on this issue. Our major topic of discussion was what’s the actual issue that pops up in every movie? His simple reply was “He’s more off a Mr. Perfectionist and that’s the problem.” This instantly created a moment of tug of war between our presumed beliefs and what we were going to be fed with. He furthermore added many producers kick-start the project without having a complete organized plan. Sometimes, the filmmakers look so much amateur in their working style, which makes the situation more critical. Yes, what I said “Being more off Mr. Perfectionist is his problem”, it pops up as a major commonality in the list of pros and cons of STR. Okay! let it be the same with what others say and spread that STR is always a trouble to every producer and director. Then how come, he didn’t have a single issue with Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Sundar C’s Vandha Rajavathaan Varuven.”
Furthermore, we wanted to pull the cat out of bag regarding the real issue of ‘Maanagaram’, which he refrained to mention. All that he said was that things will be perfectly settled and everything will be perfect.
From another source, where we happened to ask about his other projects, it was much more surprising, when a leading filmmaker, who has already worked with him twice wanted to make an official announcement on the project. But the filmmaker didn’t expect such a bold statement from STR saying, “Brother, please complete your current commitments, get the pending movies released and I will make the announcement of our project by myself.” It looks like such a strategy of being so much careful about these issues will keep STR out of troubled waters.
