Sila Samayangalil becomes first Netflix Indian original

This is definitely one such pride to every Tamil film buffs as Priyadarshan makes it happen for us all. The film ‘Sila Samayangalil’ will have a direct release on Netflix and is now regarded as the first ever Indian Netflix original. The film is based on an ordinary man, who goes through an unexpected turbulence in his life that is narrated with humour laced with emotions. The film also features Ashok Selvan, Shreya Reddy and Varun in lead roles. Ilayaraja has composed music for this film and it will be premiered tomorrow at Netflix (May 1). The film is produced by Dr K Ganesh along with Prabhu Deva and director Vijay. One of the highlighting factors is that both Prakash Raj and Priyadarshan had earlier teamed up for the National award winning film ‘Kanchivaram’.
