Mercury and Tik Tik Tik producers lock verbal horns
Karthik Subbaraj has directed and produced the film ‘Mercury’ under his home banner Stone Bench Productions. The announcement was made that the trailer of this film will be unveiled this evening. Since, Mercury is a silent film, there wasn’t any prohibition to get it stalled with its proceeding in accordance to the ongoing Kollywood strike.
Nevertheless, Karthik Subbaraj took the news to his Twitter page saying that though it’s not mandatory, he will refrain from releasing the release of trailer. Within next few minutes, Nemichand Jhabak, producer of Tik Tik Tik commented saying that even they have put sweat and blood into their films and they don’t make films with just 10 in the crew. “You are saying this to be a silent film, then can I mute the dialogues and release the film with subtitles. We as producers have to be united for a cause,” said Nemichand Jhabak.
