Kamal Haasan’s rigid statement on Mahabharata issue

Just before few days, there were some qualms among the religious groups for Kamal Haasan’s statement upon emphasizing a rigid value of woman in Mahabharata for the means of gambling. This had stirred up a strong resentment among many and one among the filed a personal legal petition against Kamal Haasan.

But nothing seems to be getting Kamal Haasan away from his stand and through his legal advisor has mentioned saying that India is a secular country, where one has the right to discuss and express their views. Adding more the statement reads, “Even scholarly people like Dr. Ambedkar has written ‘Riddles of Hinduism’ and ‘300 Ramayanas’ authored by versatile poet A.K. Ramanujam have expressed their views of such contexts in our country.”
