“National awards encourages me to make revolutionary movies” – Raju Murugan

It was a great moment of happiness for the entire team of ‘Joker’ for being felicitated with the ‘Best National Awards Tamil Movie’. Raju Murugan, director of this National award winning film expressed his joy saying, “Usually, when shooting for a film, I don’t have conscious interest of awards and I am really surprised to see it happen now. This film is dedicated to the ones, who are fighting for social justice. Such awards motivate me to make more movies on political themes, which will prove movies as a tool for revolution.”

Joker is produced by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures with Guru Somasundaram playing the lead role of a lay man, who is fighting against the fraudulent deeds of politicians from looting the money that was offered to build public toilets.
