Why Sivakarthikeyan might have rejected ‘Kavan’?

Maybe, before few days or months back in time, there were some reports saying that KV Anand had actually approached Sivakarthikeyan for the film, which later got Vijay Sethupathi onboard, now titled as ‘Kavan’. Even KV Anand had refuted news saying it’s a baseless rumour along with a tag that if the respective hero who is on verge to give nod to this script goes through this news, he would feel bad. We aren’t sure how many of you remember this tweet and now it all becomes clear through some close sources that KV Anand had actually approached Sivakarthikeyan for this film. Since it’s a film based on media, where the protagonist had to play the role of a TV anchor, Siva felt it little uneasy as it is a film based on media conspiracies and gimmicks that it does to engage audiences. Hailing from small screen backdrops, the ‘Remo’ actor didn’t want to do that and it gradually was dropped. Bringing back the reference to the so-called ‘HERO’ that KV Anand mentioned in his tweet, it is not Vijay Sethupathi as he came onboard when the same hero had walked out of the project on last minute. But it has nothing to do with the film’s quality for it would be yet another stunning thriller set against media and corporate backdrops.
