With Vikram’s previous ’10 Endrathukulla’, a commercial film not clicking at its best, the fans of Chiyaan are keeping their fingers crossed over his upcoming film ‘Iru Mugan’, which as the title suggests features the actor in dual avatars. The film is directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi and is produced by Shibu Thameems (Co-producer of Puli) with Nayantara and Nithya Menen featured in female lead roles.

The shooting of this film was recently wrapped up at the backdrops of Kashmir while the erstwhile schedules were filmed at Bangkok, Thailand, Malaysia and Chennai. Music director Harris Jayaraj had tweeted on his micro-blogging page that the audio of this film would be launched in July. According to the trade circles, the film’s theatrical release has been confirmed on August 12 to get it perfect opening in accordance to Independence Day occasion.
