Kamal Haasan funded Rajnikanth film

It is a very well known fact that both Superstar Rajnikanth and Universal hero Kamal Haasan have been close pals for more than three decades. Even now we could see them having such a great bonding that they never miss to shoot the breeze and discuss their projects. This morning, the audiences at Wagah audio launch had something more emotional to witness.

It all happened when filmmaker Mahendran who recently made his acting debut with ‘Theri’ graced over the occasion along with Kamal Haasan as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “I am happy that many are claiming be to their inspiration in filmmaking. But all these credits are supposed to be conferred upon Kamal Haasan. When I had completed halfway the shoot of Superstar Rajnikanth’s Mullum Malarum, the producer was so much stubborn and stopped funding the project saying that there are no dialogues in the film, which will be a huge minus leading to flop show. When I decided to quit everything and get back to my native place, it was Kamal Haasan who came to the rescue funding the film…”
