“It was purely Rajnikanth sir’s decisions” – Karthi

Actor Karthi has been flying across cloud nine after getting an offer from his mentor Mani Ratnam to play the lead role in his untitled next with Sai Pallavi in female lead. The actor is now excited about the way his upcoming film ‘Thozha’ simultaneously made in Telugu as ‘Oopri’ has come out. The film will be hitting screens on March 25 and since it carries some big brands like Nagarjuna and Tamannaah, it has added more expectations.

Meanwhile, Karthi has completed 50% of shooting for his ambitious project ‘Kaashmora’, directed by Gokul of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. Soon after completing this shoot by May, he will start working on Mani Ratnam project from June. While sharing his words about the great going of his ‘Madras’ director Ranjith in a recent interview, the actor says that Ranjith is so much talented and he knew that there is a great way ahead of him. “At the same time, I am so happy that Rajnikanth sir took a firm decision to sign Ranjith while there was a long queue of filmmakers keenly waiting to direct him,” says Karthi.
