With many musical bonanzas happening in K-town, all eyes are set on AR Rahman’s much anticipated album ‘24’ starring Suriya, Samantha and Nithya Menen in lead roles. The film is directed by Vikram Kumar of Yaavarum Nalam fame.

Sharing the wonderful experience of working on this project, Vikram Kumar says, “Initially, much before ‘24’ had to roll, both Suriya and AR Rahman happened to meet each other in a social event and Rahman sir seems to had told Suriya that it’s been a long time they worked together. When I felt that AR Rahman would be the apt choice for this movie, I wanted to approach him. Suriya sir had managed to get me appointment to meet AR Rahman and that was just 30 minutes. It was a crucial time, when Rahman sir was through Ramzan fasting and he had to complete it. When I started narrating the script, he was so much occupied with phone calls that repeatedly rang from his home. He asked us to wait for some time and came back by evening 7. Guess what? The actual time he allotted for us was 30 minutes; the narration went on for next 3 hours till 10 p.m. He got so much involved in the script and immediately gave a nod to this project….”
