The world famous Brihadeeswarar Temple, best known as Thanjai Periya Kovil (Tanjore Big Temple), is in the news courtesy of director SP Jananathan. The director has confirmed that he is planning to do an ambitious project with the construction of the temple as the background.

His last film Purampokku which subtly dealt about capital punishment failed to create wonders at the box office. Eventually, it ended up as critics’ favorite.

Jananathan also added that he will need minimum two years to mount a project of this scale since it needs a lot of research work to be done. “My next film is an action drama which will be completely done in my style. The cast and crew will be finalized soon,” said SP Jananathan.
