Maari ready to clash with Vaalu

Dhanush’s Maari clears the censor with clean ‘U’ and scheduled for July 17 release. Earlier it was U/A for smoking scenes, then the team sends the film  to revising censor committee and gets the U certificate with some muting. So far 2015 has been a great year for hero Dhanush.After his films Shamitabh and Anegan tasted success, his production venture Kakka Muttai bagged the National Award for Best Children’s film. Maari is Dhanush’s 29th film and third directorial venture of Director Balaji Mohan. Kajal Agarwal joins with Dhanush for the first time.Singer Vijay Yesudas plays an important role as a cop. Maari music is composed by Anirudh, Songs are already chartbusters.Film is jointly produced by Sharathkumar family and Listin Stephen.

Maari run time is 2 hrs 18 mins.The satellite rights of the film were sold to SUN tv. The trailer which was released one week ago was a mega success and nearing 3 million views in youtube.The film is scheduled to release on the Ramzan Eid 17th of July 2015.Other films which release on the same day are STR’s Vaalu and Salman Khan’s hindi film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Interestingly  Dhanush-STR films are clashing in the box office after 10 years. Their last clash was in 2004, with Simbhu’s Manmadhan and Dhanush’s Dreams. Simbhu was the winner.
