Kamalhasan’s Papanasam, the official remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Drishyam’ has been wrapped up. Film is directed by Jeethu Joseph who helmed the original version. Kamal plays the role of a father to two daughters, wife role has been done by Gautami.Papanasam also features Kalabavan Mani, Asha Sharath, Niveda Thomas, Baby Esther and Charlie in important roles. Kalabavan Mani does the main villain role, it is touted to be one of the most powerful role. Music of the film is handled by Gibran. Dialogues of the film is written by Jayamohan.
Film is produced by Wide Angle Creations & Raj Kumar Theatres Pvt Ltd. Team has taken just 39 days to complete the movie. The entire unit of Papanasam completed shooting and returned to Chennai yesterday (Sunday). Sources say that Jeethu will be starting the post production work from next week and if everything goes well, the movie will be released for Pongal 2015. It is to be noted that Drishyam has already been remade in Telugu and Kannada and became super hit in 2 states. Hope Tamil version also creates the same magic.
