The Tamil Musical of the year, Kaaviya Thalaivan’s music was launched this morning, has received rave reviews, ranging from 5/5* to lowest being 3.75*. The top class music of AR Rahman in a 1950s classical movie Kaaviya Thalaivan has taken the Tamil film music lovers by storm. The hype will only get bigger before the theatrical release of the film, tentatively scheduled for September 19, 2014.

Director Vasanta Balan, the director who gave classic and critically acclaimed Tamil superhits like Angadi Theru, Veyil and Aravaan is back this time with a bigger budget extravaganza with bigger starcast and top music director re-creating the era of stage dramas in the 1950s. The film is about the lives of two theatre artistes played by Siddharth and Prithviraj and the competition that exists between them in a small drama troupe. Vedhika and Anaika plays the female leads with supporting cast by Nasser, Thambi Ramaiah and others.
