Mumbai has been the major supply point to the Tamil film industry in terms of the heroine. Here is another heroine with bundle of talent as extra baggage, Salony Luthra of ‘Sarabham’ who had taken the film industry with her bold performance.
The beauteous Salony is chiefly an adroit Kathak dancer throughout her college era, her famed delightful grab shoved her into modelling and ramp stages. She once shared the stage space with Ranvir Kapoor in a glittering award ceremony and was praised by Ranvir Kapoor himself for her electrifying performance.
Her graduation from the theaters helped to sharpen her acting skills and it was all evident in her performance in ‘Sarabham’. ‘I’m absolutely delighted when people appreciate my performance; the director had shaped up this character so well that it was easy to step into the shoes. It was great opportunity to be introduced by C.V.Kumar sir as we all are aware with his eye for talents. I give major credit of my performance to Vikram sir. ‘Anniyan’ was one of the few Tamil movies I had seen in my life and I was stunned with His acting. He was a great inspiration for me to enhance my acting skills. What were very challenging were the smoking scenes which were plenty!!! It was not my cup of tea but in order to show case the different shades the two non – identical roles I played, I had to get the hang of smoking. I started watching films like Wolf of Wall Street, Fight Club and Gia to adapt the vogue of smoking and to get more adept I started meddling with my friends who smoke. As of now I had been getting plenty of offers but they are more or less similar to the one I played in ‘ Sarabham’. I want to prove my versatility in acting and I am confident that my next film will be much more appealing. I mentally alienated myself from Mumbai city to slip into the shoes of my challenging character in Sarabham. Here i am to stay and win” she declares with confidence.
