Actor ‘Kadhal’ Dhandapani dies of cardiac arrest

Tamil actor Dhandapani – 71  year old, popular for his roles in films such as ‘Kaadhal’ and ‘Englishkaran’, died in Chennai on Sunday due to cardiac arrest. He has acted in over 160 films in Tamil,Telugu,Malayalam and Kannada languages.According to actor R. Sarath Kumar, Dhandapani was last shooting with him on Saturday for upcoming film ‘Sandamarutham’.Sunday early morning he was not feeling well, unfortunately on the way to a private hospital in chennai he died due to cardiac attack. The cremation is expected to take place in Dindigul, Dhandapani’s home town. He is survived by three sons and one daughter.

Having earned appreciation for his villainous role in “Kaadhal”, Dhandapani earned the moniker Kaadhal to his name.He has also acted in popular films such as “Chithiram Pesuthadi”, “Muni”, “Krishna” and “Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam”. He entered into film industry on 2004 with Kadhal.Various film personalities representing the South Indian Film Chamber including its President Sarath Kumar, Director A Venkatesh, Samuthrakani paid their last respects.May his soul rest in peace.
